LivePerson and WebSideStory Team to Offer New Online Customer Service and Sales Solution

NEW YORK, NY - July 16, 2002 - LivePerson, Inc. (NASDAQ: LPSN), a leading provider of technology facilitating real-time online customer interaction, today announced a strategic alliance with WebSideStory, the leader in outsourced Web analytics. The alliance provides businesses with a unique online customer service solution that combines real-time Web site visitor behavior information with live customer interaction.

Under the terms of the agreement, both companies will market each other's services, including WebSideStory's Web analytics services, HitBox Enterprise and HitBox Professional, and LivePerson's live chat applications, LivePerson Pro and LivePerson Corporate.

WebSideStory's outsourced services provide up-to-the-second information on key visitor behavior patterns and trends, including response to marketing campaigns and customer support initiatives. LivePerson's services enable businesses to interact live with their visitors through real-time chat, monitoring and co-browsing. Through the packaged offering, businesses will have a complete view of their Web site activity from analysis of visitor trends to understanding the needs of each individual visitor.
